Team meeting:  There will be a team meeting at 8:30 under the team tarp.
Warm-up for the pm session will start immediately after the last event for the youngers.  Please be at the pool and checked in by 11:30 am.    Check in opens at 11:00 am.  Our team meeting for the olders will be in the water!!!

All 800 and 1500 swimmers will need their own timers and counters.  NCA does not have any counters.  These 2 events will be swum fastest to slowest alternating girls and boys.

Timing:  We have 2 chairs Saturday am and 1 chair Sat pm.  We have 1 chair Sun am and 1 chair Sun pm.  There will be a sign up sheet under the NCA tarp.  PLEASE make sure all the spots are filled.

TYR meet July 5-6

Warm-up:  Please be at the pool by 10:30 am both Sat and Sun.  You will need to check in BEFORE warm-ups.  Last year warm-up was a zoo.  Be prepared with an extra dose of patience!!  Warm-ups will begin after the last race of the am session.  We will have a short team meeting about 11:40 at the tarp.

Tarps:  We only have 1 team tarps.  They need a lift to this meet.  If you are able to help out, please let me know.  They are under the bleachers at the JCC.  They also need a lift home!  Thanks!

Parking is available at Independence Park as well as the DMV parking lot.

Tarps are to be set up in designated areas.  Please set tarps on the grass areas only.  The area between the pool complex and the rec center must be kept clear.  The area behind the blocks is for swimmers and meet officials only.

Estimated timelines:  Saturday noon-4:30 pm  Sunday noon-5:00 pm.  Remember, these are estimated timelines!!!

All Open 400 IM, 400 and 800 freestyle events must provide timers for 3 heats.  These events will be swum fastest to slowest alternating girls and boys..  You must provide your own lap counter.

Timing!!!!!
We are responsible for 3 chairs in lane 5 both days for the entire meet up until the 400 IM and 800 free where the above protocal will take place.  I do not have time to go through all the events and place you where you would like to be placed.  Please be a team player and sign up for timing at the meet.  If you missed the last meet PLEASE get your name on this list of timers or this will be the last meet this season your swimmer will be able to participate in.  Someone said to me that they didn’t realize we had timing police.  If you have a swimmer in the last event before the distance event, consider timing then!!!  This isn’t what I want or have time to do, but someone has to make sure that the volunteering is split equally amongst our membership.  I know many of you time all the time, and for some reason, just didn’t the last meet.  Please take care of this at this meet.  Thanks in advance for your understanding and cooperation.

Congratulations Tanya!!!

NCA Families!!

The Boosters would like to thank the seniors & everyone who swam & raised funds in our Swim-a-Thon! About half of NCA’s swimmers have participated so far. Prize winners will be announced at the clinic with our Olympic hopefuls July 12.

The school year of 2007-2008 held some of NCA’s greatest challenges & achievements, building strength & resiliency & creating unexpected financial needs. The Boosters support NCA swimmers at every level year-round & our biggest fund-raiser is the Swim-a-Thon. Our team goal is 100% Swim-a-Thon participation: to reach it, we call upon the other half of the team to jump in, gather donations, & give generously. Swim-a-thon donations are tax deductible!

To take part in the July 12 clinic, a swimmer must simply meet their training level goals by July 9. See your coach to schedule a day to do your laps at practice. Then turn in your donations to your coach.

Training Level Goals

Red, White, Blue Groups $100

Age Group 3 & HS Prep $125

Age Groups 2 & 1 & Sr D $150

Everyone who has turned in donations at their training level goal by July 9 qualifies for a t-shirt signed by our Olympic hopefuls. (If you already picked yours up at the awards program signed by Tanya, Jessie, Anna, & Kendyl, bring it to the clinic to have Gloria & Allie sign it. If you pre-ordered a t-shirt or bought one at the May meet, bring it to the clinic for autographs. If you qualify for a second shirt, think eBay but if you don’t want it, you can donate it to the team or be reimbursed.)

Here’s another way families can support the Boosters and our Olympic hopefuls: Shirts (autographed or not) are $14. If you can’t do Swim-a-thon this year, we strongly urge you to buy a shirt or two.

2008 USA seasonal registration

Posted by Coach Sue on March 23rd, 2008

If you are new to the team, you may purchase a 2008 seasonal registration card. These cards are valid April 1st through the 2nd week in September. The 2009 cards will available in Sept. This is a less expensive way to go, rather than purchasing a 2008 annual card right now. Please click here to download a copy of the application. You will need to verify with the swim office (address on the application) your swimmer’s age by showing an original passport or birth certificate. You may either do this in person at the office (call 619-275-1292 for hours) or you can do it through the mail. You will need to enclose a self addressed, stamped envelope for them to return the document in. Questions, please ask your coach. You will need this card within 2 weeks of beginning the program. It gets mailed to us and we keep a copy and send you a copy. Our team name is North Coast Aquatics and our club code is NCA. Please mail the application, check and all supporting document in on your own or handle it in person. Do not give any of these documents to your site coach. Thank you!
